RENEE FISHER
You’re a cool chick and I LOVE having you as a friend. Isn’t it wonderful how like minded people just somehow finding each other? Renee is sensitive, open to learning, and positive in spite of hardships. This woman is suited to endurance and we’re happy to have her. Renee is also a blacksmith. Who knew this beautiful woman could “slap on some shoes!“

DEAN HILLIARD
Dean is quiet till you get to know him. He adores his horses and I haven’t seen a new rider progress so quickly and thoroughly than Dean. He’s now riding 50’s when it was just last year he was doing limited distance (LD) and competitive trail rides (CTR’s). He’s riding different temperament horses and using his quiet nature to calm even the most nervous horse. Well done Dean! I can’t wait to be out there riding with you! I’m part of a group that has really watched you come along and am really proud of the effort and dedication it takes to progress the way you have. |

JENNIFER SUPINGER
She may be still in high school but this young woman trains horses as if she’s a reincarnated horse whisperer. Jennifer always puts her horse first, no exceptions. It was my pleasure to mentor her as a junior for that short period of time. In addition to endurance riding, Jen shows her horses and has a funny way of riding sans saddle or bridle. Check out her videos on youtube. Look at Wildfire bareback and bridles. It’s an amazing demonstration of a horse and rider speaking to each other. The horse is a totally willing partner in the relationship. She and I share the same ideas on horses, life, and all that other good stuff. Love who you are Jen, you’re a beautiful person. |

ELEANOR VALLONE
Is there a horse you can’t ride? I guess it’s more the fact that you have an eye for individuals who are trustworthy and need redirection. I value you as a person, I value your perspective on life and I value your gusto. Life is meant to be lived!

ZACHARY CIERI
My little buddy. The connection you share with the big bad Lynika is an amazing thing. She’s the princess and you are her playmate. Good for you to see the beauty of a horse. To smell the natural scent and to embrace her in the only way you can. A full on hug with her head reaching you with trust and returned affection. She may move on to fulfill her destiny and you will always have the memory of her scent, warmth, and fun.

MATTHEW CIERI
I guess the question will remain, are you going to become a rider? It’s of course your choice, and I love our endurance weekends with you in tow. Such fun we have, memories to last a life time. You’re my special, beautiful boy, and I love you.

CLARA LEVITSKY
Hey Girl! Long gone are the purple Mohawks and the big gelding with a telling name, Risky. I’ve seen you fly off that enormous horse and just jump back on. Glad the next horses were sensible Arabs, one with a questionable name but we love her all the same. Flaming Crazy she is not, Cray is a beautiful soul and is cherished, as are you Clara.

TOM HUTCHINSON
Next time I’ll have a coffee cup of Kaluer with you. Not so sure about the bubbla but we’ll work on it. Tom and his lovely wife Kathy Brunjes are pillars for USA East. Blazing the trails on our beloved Asgard horses you both make us proud.

KATHY BRUNJES
You make us proud Kathy. Theatric is one hell of a horse. Another Asgard bred boy! Your efforts are appreciated as well as your dedication to the North East Endurance Team.

SYLVIA MADDEN
You are a beautiful woman, adventurous, intelligent, and above all a friend. Sylvia and her business partner Jamie Murphy own Just Chaps, LLC. Both of them, hard working and dedicated to their company. Sylvia has acquired a 4 year old Asgard mare named Aloette. She also has another beautiful Asgard mare, Geometrika, aka, Geo. Sylvia and I will be sharing many trails in the years to come and I couldn’t have asked for better timing for us to be starting new horses. The funny thing is we are all nurses!

ART KING
Ah, these Canadians, gotta love them. Art is at almost every ride on the East Coast and just a joy to work with. He is an excellent endurance vet, and his judgment is sound and his intuition remarkable. Thank you, Art, for a job well done. We as endurance riders feel confidence seeing you in ride camp. We do have fun, don’t we!

SLOPPY TOMMY FROM LURAY, aka TOM SITES
I can’t believe I don’t have a picture of you! Your beautiful horse will do. Sloppy Tommy is a member of the Long Riders Guild. He earned his right of passage when he rode The Great American Horse Race of 1976. He rode one horse from New York to California. Jose Dante was his partner and wow, what an accomplishment. Sloppy Tommy also has a Gold Medal casually hanging in his camper from his WEG Team Gold win in Germany along with Michael Marino and Dr. Jeannie Waldron. Keep the stories and hot meals coming Tommy, you are loved.

STEVEN HAY
A quiet, polite young man that I’m proud to call friend. Steve is one tough guy and has the privilege to own and compete two horses. One a Morgan, and the other, an Arabian. Steve is so loved by everyone for his grace in accepting disappointments and his heart felt congratulations to those doing well. I’ve seen Steve jump right into crewing after his own pulls. He carries himself like a man and conducts himself as one. This is a kid that we, as parents, wish to clone. He’s starting to give the North East Riders a run for their money and I can’t wait to sit back and watch!

RUTH JOHNSON AND DAZYL
Owned and loved by an inspirational woman, Ruth Johnson. Ruth has logged many miles together with Dazyl. He was tough to figure out at times but Ruth saw his potential and kept at it. Today, their relationship is one of quiet communication and a partnership beyond words. Ruth is a person I'm so proud to call my friend. She has been an inspiration to me and darn, she can ride!

MANDY TAYLOR
Mandy is my partner in crime. We really enjoy ourselves on trail and off. It’s such a nice feeling to ride with your friend and then, to top it off, we have two conditioned horses who are well matched…it’s a blast! Mandy has had her hand in everything. She’s had her hand in fox hunting, showed in hunter/jumper, competes in competitive trail riding and also endurance riding.

 |
DAWN ENGLE
Dawn is new to endurance riding and being the sponge that she is, she’s absorbed all the info given to her and has done quite well for herself. In time, Dawn will be riding her own horse and continuing to go on down the trail. Fly Baby Bird!

 |
 |
PETE RICCI
Farrier and rider, Pete Ricci manages to get it all done. Pete is a huge part of the Old Dominion Endurance Ride, Inc. He gives freely of his time and is an expert shoer, trusted for his advice, and a force on trail! He’s a great competitor. Pete has several mules and an arab mule! These animals are TOUGH! The 2 y.o. is waiting in the wings. Can’t wait for another mule to make it's début in endurance. Isn't Lou beautiful!

NATALIE MUZZIO
My buddy! Natalie is one of those people that you tend to like immediately. She’s encouraging, tough, and has that can do attitude that great riders have, no matter what discipline they choose. The Muzzio family is a cohesive group. Each member of their family has something they love and they all support each other. Work, laugh and love.

JENNIFER ENDERLE
Jen is a quick witted, energetic woman who I’m proud to call my friend. She has an extensive background in eventing, hunter/jumper, fox hunting and joyful trail riding. She recently rescued an off the track Thoroughbred. Clark Kent, aka Kent is one of the best TB’s I’ve ever seen. Bone, feet, big guns in the back end and a scopy shoulder to finish out this well put together horse. This gelding is versatile. He completed a 30 mile LD at the Michaux Madness in 2007. The same year, he did a 50 miler at the Genesee Ride in PA.

TIM MILLER, SAMI HILLS FARM
Tim is a quiet guy who likes to fly under the radar. He may be ducking the limelight but his mares are front and center. Sami Hills Farm has some of the best bloodlines in Arabian racing. Mr. Miller owns NS Love Potion (Ruby), the 2006 AERC Reserve National Champion in the 50 mile level, a wonderful, sweet mare, strikingly beautiful. An interesting side note. Nature called, and stallion R-Kon answered. Ruby was accidentally bred in the months prior to the NC. She completed her last two rides pregnant, the National Championship included! Ruby now has a lovely filly named Ruby’s Tuesday. Tuesday is sassy and full of life. And she comes with benefits; she already has miles on her, from in the womb!

LEA SHARP
Lea has been a friend for about 25 years. She’s more like a sister to me. We’re the “tell it to me straight” type of women. I grew up envious of Lea and her super pony Lady Bug. Lea shared with me her horses, her friendship, everything. Lea has been blessed with two little girls who’ve inherited the horse flu. Emma, 8 years old, has a beautiful pony for the show ring. For Emma, riding just comes naturally.

ALANNA LUCIER
The love of hoses runs deep in our family. I'd like to think my passion is contagious and my niece Alanna caught the bug. She's still wet behind the ears but making strides at becoming an excellent, young, horse woman. I'm so proud of her! Way to go Alanna!
